Hotel Bad Ratzes – Your Family Hotel in the Dolomites

A family holiday in the unique natural landscape of South Tyrol

A beautiful spot amidst the legendary Dolomites.

Bad Ratzes is 3km away from Seis / Siusi, in a wonderful secluded position at an altitude of 1,200meters (3,937ft), at the foot of the Seiser Alm / Alpe di Siusi.

The hotel is set on 22 hectares of ground on a large meadow, beside a crystal clear alpine stream and surrounded by an ancient pine forest with Mount Schlern / Sciliar as a backdrop.

Guests of all ages, with or without children, will find a welcoming atmosphere and a home from home with plenty of things to do whatever their tastes and preferences are.

Here, in the heart of the Schlern-Rosengarten / Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Reserve is the family hotel Bad Ratzes located.

With walking guide

To the Rauch hut and back with a horse-drawn carriage.
Trot pony, trot..... We’ll discover the magic of the Seiser Alm on a horse-drawn carriage ride! And enjoy the magnificent panorama of snow-covered peaks, tucked warm and cosy beneath blankets.
We walk 5 minutes from the top terminal of the Seiser Alm cable car to the Panorama chairlift. A 30 – 40 minutes’ walk leads us in the direction of Ritsch along a well-groomed pathway as far as the Rauchhütte hut, where we take a well-earned rest on the sunny terrace before returning by horse-drawn carriage. This is an experience especially for children. A memorable ride: the snow, the sun and the white-mantled Seiser Alm.

Winter in the Dolomite

The Seiser Alm is set amid the most breathtaking Dolomite scenery with ski slopes to suit all abilities and there are no crowds at the lifts.
The sunny and mild Seiser Alm is an ideal ski resort for families with children (60 km of downhill runs), a paradise for cross country skiers (60 km of trails) and also enormously popular among snowboarders.fileadmin/user_upload/pdf/1_Winter_sport_on_the_Seiser_Alm_2015-2016.pdf

Skiing with the children

The ski instructor from the blue ski school Schlern 3000 calls by each Sunday at 6 p.m. to explain the courses on offer. This is an opportunity for you to discuss the requirements and book the lessons of your choice directly.

Not only skiing

There is also plenty to do if you decide to take a break from skiing – horse-drawn, sleigh rides, tobogganing, mountain walks. 30 km on well-groomed trails await keen winter walkers with plenty of snug Alpine huts along the way to call in to for a rest, to warm up and replenish your energy.
