is the ideal season to learn to make your first turns in the snow in the warm sunshine. The hotel this year is open till Tueday after Easter April 3rd.

Down in the valley spring has sprung and the orchards are already in full blossom, while up here the Seiser Alm still beckons skiers and sun worshipers.

Winter in the Dolomites

The Seiser Alm is set amid the most breathtaking Dolomite scenery with ski slopes to suit all abilities and there are no crowds at the lifts.
The sunny and mild Seiser Alm is an ideal ski resort for families with children (60 km of downhill runs), a paradise for cross country skiers (60 km of trails) and also enormously popular among snowboarders (Award for Worlds Best Freestyle Resort 2016).

Skiing with children and youngsters

The ski instructor from the ski school Schlern 3000 calls by each Saturday and Sunday at about 5 p.m. to explain the courses on offer. This is an opportunity for you to discuss the requirements and book the lessons of your choice directly.

New! Mondays, Tuesday and Fridays we will pick up the children from the ski school and bring them back to the hotel (exeption 22.12.-7.1. + 10.-18.2.).

Not only skiing

There is also plenty to do if you decide to take a break from skiing – horse-drawn, sleigh rides, tobogganing, mountain walks.

30 km on well-groomed trails await keen winter walkers with plenty of snug Alpine huts along the way to call in to for a rest, to warm up and replenish your energy.

Join our guide Günther Vettori on Sundays for a family walk to the Malknecht hut coming down by sledge. Or join our ski-guide 2 times a week for a walk with snowshoes in unspoiled nature.

Swing on Snow from March 18th till 25th. Alpine folk music concerts on the slopes during the day and in bars & restaurants in the evening.

The area around Bad Ratzes is protected as part of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Reserve where ibexes, chamois, marmots and deer thrive. The best time to discover Dolomite flora at first hand is from mid May to mid July. September is truly golden up here, when the sun still warms, the air is crisp and larches glow orange amid the dark coniferous forests.
