A family holiday in the unique natural landscape of South Tyrol

A beautiful spot amidst the legendary Dolomites.

Bad Ratzes is 3km away from Seis / Siusi, in a wonderful secluded position at an altitude of 1,200meters (3,937ft), at the foot of the Seiser Alm / Alpe di Siusi.

The hotel is set on 22 hectares of ground on a large meadow, beside a crystal clear alpine stream and surrounded by an ancient pine forest with Mount Schlern / Sciliar as a backdrop.

Guests of all ages, with or without children, will find a welcoming atmosphere and a home from home with plenty of things to do whatever their tastes and preferences are.

Here, in the heart of the Schlern-Rosengarten / Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Reserve is the family hotel Bad Ratzes located.

Winter in the Dolomites

The Seiser Alm is set amid the most breathtaking Dolomite scenery with ski slopes to suit all abilities and there are no crowds at the lifts.
The sunny and mild Seiser Alm is an ideal ski resort for families with children (60 km of downhill runs), a paradise for cross country skiers (60 km of trails) and also enormously popular among snowboarders.

Skiing with the children

The ski instructor from the ski school Schlern 3000 calls by each Saturday and Sunday at about 5 p.m. to explain the courses on offer. This is an opportunity for you to discuss the requirements and book the lessons of your choice directly.

The ski School offers skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding and more >>>

Not only skiing

There is also plenty to do if you decide to take a break from skiing – horse-drawn, sleigh rides, tobogganing, mountain walks. 30 km on well-groomed trails await keen winter walkers with plenty of snug Alpine huts along the way to call in to for a rest, to warm up and replenish your energy. Join our guide Günther Vettori for a family walk to the Sanon hut coming back in a horse-drawn sleigh.

Summer in the Dolomites

The area is protected as part of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Reserve where ibexes, chamois, marmots and deer thrive. The best time to discover Dolomite flora at first hand is from mid May to mid July. September is truly golden up here, when the sun still warms, the air is crisp and larches glow orange amid the dark coniferous forests. In summer the hotel is open from Mai 27th till October 17th.         Book your summer holiday now >>>
